Thursday, May 04, 2006 So I am now 40. And though I don't feel 40, I am beginning to suspect that I am becoming middle-aged. Went to a tropical island for my birthday. Managed to get sunburn on my sunburn despite repeatedly applying sunblock and sitting in the shade. No, I did not stay out until 3 am merenguing or bacchating or whatever. Instead, I found myself wandering around and looking at the trees. This was my favorite tree. And yes, I smoked a cigar on my birthday.
